My last day at Digforfire DMG got off to a great start as we were treated to bacon butties. Chris also brought in some banana bread so the day was full of treats. I got to sit in on one of the meetings Chris had regarding an existing brief that he had working on before i started. We had hoped to have a meeting with the powers that be upstairs but it had to pt of till Monday but Chris did say he would let me know how it went. As today was the beginning of the World Cup, a nice 50inch tv was rolled in to the studio so we could watch the live coverage. It was a rather relaxing Friday and the atmosphere was great, as it had been all week. I was given several tasks to do throughout the day but as there wasn’t anything major to do, I spent most of the day blogging and looking at some great resources the guys had given me. At the end of the day Chris had a feedback session. He gave me some great compliments and also had a lot of great advice. He said the guys at the studio had really liked having me there that week and I have to admit I really felt at home all week. When i was preparing to leave it was like the last day of a job I had been at for years! Quite an odd feeling. But Chris said he and the rest of the gang would stay in touch and they hoped i would do the same. There is plans to start a proper student placement program so I of course suggested I be their guinea pig to see how it goes (any excuse to get back there). Although I did have to spend 4 hours a day traveling, it was worth every minute just to have had the chance to work there for a week. I really do hope I can go back to see them again sometime!
Next stop… glasgae!!!!
